August 24: Arrival in the Summer Capital

August 25: The Meadows of Pahalgam
After an early breakfast, we depart for a 90 km journey to Pahalgam, a drive that typically takes 2.5 to 3 hours. Along the way, we stop at the Awantipora Ruins to explore ancient Shiva temples and visit the world-famous Saffron Fields of Pampore.
Into the Valleys
Once in Pahalgam, we dive into the scenic wonders of the Aru Valley and the famous film-shooting backdrop of Betaab Valley. We also visit Chandanwari, the historic starting point of the Amarnath Yatra.

August 26: Mughal Splendor and Dal Lake Dreams
Today is dedicated to the timeless beauty of Srinagar’s royal history. We’ll wander through the Nishat Bagh, set against the dramatic Zabarwan hills, and the majestic Shalimar Bagh with its royal Mughal layout. We also stop at Chashme Shahi to see the natural spring water.
Life on the Water
The afternoon features the quintessential Kashmir experience: a 1-hour Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Glide past floating gardens and witness the unique aquatic lifestyle of the valley.

August 27: High Altitudes in Gulmarg
We head to Gulmarg, a 50 km drive that winds through the scenic landscape of Tangmarg, apple orchards, and towering pine forests. The highlight of the day is the Gulmarg Gondola ride, one of the highest cable cars in Asia.
Snow and Sightseeing
Take the Phase 1 Gondola to enjoy mountain views or engage in seasonal snow activities like sledging and skiing. You’ll have free time to explore the vast meadows before we return to Srinagar for our final night.

Because we spend most of the day at the summit, a formal lunch isn’t feasible. However, there are excellent snack shops at the Snow Point area where you can grab local treats.
August 28: Farewell to Paradise
After one last Kashmiri breakfast, we transfer to the Srinagar Airport for your 12:00 pm flight. You’ll fly back to Kochi via Delhi, arriving home at 08:20 pm with a heart full of memories.
