Our adventurous monsoon travel Kerala experience begins early in the morning as we gather our group and head toward the mist-covered tea gardens of Tamil Nadu. We board our comfortable AC pushback vehicle from multiple convenient boarding points across Kerala.
Seamless Boarding and the Ascent
- 08:30 AM: Departure from Kaloor International Stadium, Ernakulam.
- 11:00 AM: Boarding at Thrissur (Mannuthy Bypass).
- 12:30 PM: Boarding at Palakkad (Chandranagar Bypass).
From Palakkad, we proceed toward Valparai via Pollachi, driving through breathtaking rustic landscapes. Our first major stop is the magnificent Azhiyar Dam, nestled at the foothills of the Anamalai road. After soaking in the views, prepare yourself for one of the most thrilling driving tracks in South India: the legendary Valparai 40 hairpin bends. Our first stop of the morning is the engineering marvel, Sholayar Dam, one of the highest reservoirs in the region. From here, we begin our enchanting forest journey via Malakkappara and Vazhachal.
