Team Yathri Holidays introduces a premium 10-night, 11-day Adi Kailash, Om Parvat, and Patal Bhuvaneshwar pilgrimage package departing from Delhi on September 10, 2026. This journey scales the borders of India and Nepal to provide an unforgettable spiritual experience safely backed by professional logistics, emergency equipment, and acclimatization training.
Day 1: Gateway to the Foothills – Arrival Delhi to Kathgodam
Your sacred Himalayan pilgrimage begins upon your arrival at the Delhi Airport or Delhi Railway Station:
- 03:00 PM: Group assembly deadline at Delhi.
Traveling to Kathgodam
Once the group has fully gathered, we board our comfortable overland vehicle and begin a scenic 6-hour road journey (approximately 280 km) heading towards Kathgodam, the scenic gateway town nestled at the foothills of the Kumaon Himalayas. Check into your hotel upon arrival, unwind from your journey, and enjoy a warm group dinner. Overnight stay in Kathgodam.
Day 2: Journey into Kumaon Hills – Kathgodam to Pithoragarh
Enjoy a fresh breakfast at the hotel before checking out as we begin our climb deeper into the mountain roads:
Into the Soaring Valleys
We depart Kathgodam on a scenic 6-hour mountain drive to Pithoragarh, a beautiful valley town often described as Kumaon’s “Little Kashmir” due to its stunning alpine landscapes. Check into your hotel, unpack your belongings, and spend the afternoon adjusting to the rising mountain altitude. Dinner and an overnight stay in Pithoragarh.
Day 3: Border Towns & Inner-Line Permits – Pithoragarh to Dharchula
Wake up early to crisp mountain air, savor your breakfast, and check out as we travel toward the international border town of Dharchula.
Securing Safe Passage
Dharchula sits right along the roaring Kali River, separating India from Nepal. Upon our arrival, our team will fully coordinate the official government administrative paperwork required to issue your Inner-Line Permit. This specialized permit is legally mandatory for all travelers, as our spiritual route moves right up against the international border security zones. Spend your evening relaxing at your hotel. Dinner and an overnight stay in Dharchula.
Day 4: Into the Heart of Indigenous Culture – Dharchula to Nabi Village
Following breakfast, we step into our specialized high-clearance 4×4 vehicles and leave standard highway routes behind.
Hidden Villages of Vyas Valley
We climb into the spectacular Vyas Valley, driving past the cascading waterfalls and dramatic ridges of indigenous mountain settlements including Chialekh, Garbyang, Gunji, and Napalchu. Our destination is Nabi Village, an incredibly beautiful, traditional Himalayan village that sits as the official base camp for our holy darshans. Check into a welcoming, authentic local Himalayan Home Stay. Spend your evening interacting with local residents to experience their culture and divine lifestyle. Overnight stay in Nabi Village.
Day 5: The Miracle of Nature – Om Parvat Darshan & Kalapani
We awaken before dawn for our highly anticipated morning excursion to witness a true wonder of the natural world: Om Parvat.
Standing Before the Mystic Peak
A smooth 2-hour drive in our 4×4 vehicles brings us to the optimal viewing ridge facing Om Parvat. Stand in awe as the morning sun illuminates a massive, snow-filled mountain face where ice and black rock naturally form the sacred Sanskrit syllable “OM” (ॐ). Take your time to sit quietly, meditate, and absorb the peaceful vibrations of this holy site.
On our return journey, we will visit the historic site of Kalapani, subject to final military border permission. Return to our home stay base in Nabi Village for a hot dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Trek to the Abode of Shiva – Jyolingkong & Adi Kailash
Today is our primary trekking day as we head toward Jyolingkong, the sacred viewing ground situated right at the base of the mighty Adi Kailash peak (Chhota Kailash).
Parikrama of Parvati Sarovar
- The Trek: Depending on your physical fitness level, participate in an immersive 2 km alpine trek across the valley floor.
- The Experience: Stand right before the majestic, snow-capped pyramid of Adi Kailash and take part in a sacred parikrama (circumambulation) around the crystal-clear waters of Parvati Sarovar. Because this sacred area sits at an extreme high altitude, we will absorb the energetic vibrations and complete our prayers before heading back down to protect your health.
Evening Kumaoni Cultural Program
Upon returning safely to Nabi Village, celebrate your pilgrimage achievement with a special evening cultural program organized by the local villagers. Learn about their traditional attire, music, and ancestral lifestyle. Overnight stay in Nabi Village.
Day 7: Return to the Lowlands – Nabi Village to Dharchula
Savor your final breakfast in the high valley, bid a warm farewell to your home stay hosts, and complete your check-out. We board our 4×4 vehicles and retrace our path down through the rugged mountain gorges back to Dharchula. Check into your hotel room and enjoy a free evening. You can walk across the pedestrian suspension bridge to explore neighboring Nepal for unique local shopping. Dinner and an overnight stay in Dharchula.
Day 8: The Underground Cave Temple – Dharchula to Patal Bhuvaneshwar
Following breakfast, we check out and drive towards the highly mystical village of Patal Bhuvaneshwar.
Discovering the Subterranean Cave
We visit the incredible Patal Bhuvaneshwar cave temple, a limestone cave complex hidden 90 feet beneath the earth’s surface. According to ancient Hindu scriptures, this subterranean cave holds the living spiritual presence of Lord Shiva and thirty-three crore deities. Walk through its illuminated stone chambers to see natural stalactite and stalagmite formations representing historical events from the Puranas. Following this deep spiritual visit, check into the local Ashram for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 9: Blessings of Neem Karoli Baba – Patal Bhuvaneshwar to Nainital
Enjoy breakfast before checking out as we drive toward the beautiful Lake District of Uttarakhand:
Historic Temples and Lake Towns
- Kainchi Dham: Stop to pay your respects at the world-famous Neem Karoli Baba Ashram, a serene spiritual sanctuary that draws visitors from all around the globe.
- Golu Devta Temple: Visit the famous Chitai Golu Devta temple, renowned for thousands of brass bells hung by devotees seeking divine justice.
