Day 1: Welcome to the Mountains – Arrival & Transfer to Gangtok
Your Himalayan adventure begins the moment you touch down! Please arrive at Bagdogra Airport by 2:00 pm, where our team will greet you. From there, we proceed to the vibrant capital city of Gangtok, situated at an elevation of 5412 Ft. The scenic drive covers 130 Kms and takes approximately 04 to 05 hours. Upon arrival, you will check in for an overnight stay at your comfortable hotel in Gangtok. Dinner is included in your meal plan for the day.
Traveler’s Note: The winding mountain roads can be mesmerizing but twisty! If you are prone to motion sickness, keep your medication handy during the drive from Bagdogra to Gangtok.
Day 2: High-Altitude Thrills – Tshangu Lake & Nathula Pass
After breakfast, we embark on a breathtaking full-day excursion. First, we visit the stunning Tshangu Lake, located at 12400 Ft, which is a 43 Km drive (about 2 hours one way). Next, we proceed to the New Baba Mandir at 13100 Ft, just an hour’s drive further. Finally, we reach the legendary Nathula Pass at 14137 Ft, marking the Indo China Border. We will return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Gangtok.
Pro-Tip: Lunch is not included today due to limited dining facilities at these high altitudes. We highly advise purchasing hot food and snacks directly at the available local stalls to keep your energy up in the cold weather!
Day 3: Gangtok Sightseeing & The Journey to Darjeeling
Your morning kicks off with a half-day sightseeing tour of Gangtok’s gems. Take in the panoramic sights at Tashi view point, seek blessings at Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok, and explore the beautiful Plant conservatory and local Monastery. Following the tour, we transfer to the “Queen of the Hills”—Darjeeling (6710 Ft). This 110 Km drive will take around 04 to 05 hours. On reaching Darjeeling, you will check in and enjoy an overnight stay at your hotel. Your meals today include Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 4: Sunrise at Tiger Hill & Darjeeling Discovery
Set your alarms for an early morning start at around 04:00 am. Subject to clear weather, we will visit Tiger Hills (8482 Ft) to witness the spectacular sunrise over the mighty Kanchendzonga Peak, the third highest peak in the world. We head back to the hotel for a hearty breakfast before diving into a half-day sightseeing tour of Darjeeling.
Highlights include the Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda , Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute , Tenzing & Gombu Rock , the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center, and a panoramic tour of a lush Tea Estate. You will spend the night in Darjeeling.
Pro-Tip: Don’t miss the optional Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) Joy Train Ride! This iconic 1.45-hour ride costs around Rs. 1,500 per person. Let us know in advance, and we will book the tickets based on availability.
Day 5: Mirik Lake, Nepal Border Shopping & Siliguri
After enjoying breakfast, we depart Darjeeling and transfer to Siliguri, a 100 Km drive taking 03 to 04 hours. En route, we visit Mirik Lake, beautifully surrounded by scenic tea gardens. Get ready for some unique shopping as we visit the Pashupati Nagar Indo-Nepal border Market. Our vehicle will park on the Indian side; from there, you can easily walk the 2 Kms or hire a local taxi (costing INR 400 to 500 one way) to reach the Nepalese market side. We will conclude the day with an overnight stay in Siliguri.
Traveler’s Note: Have your original Adhaar or Voter ID readily accessible for the border crossing. The market is fantastic for picking up cozy winter wear and electronics!
Day 6: Departure with Mountain Memories
Enjoy your final breakfast of the trip. Afterward, it’s time to check out and transfer to Bagdogra Airport for your journey home.
